The ICSN 2026 - Pierre Potier Symposium is organized in tribute to Pierre Potier and celebrates scientific approaches inspired by natural product chemistry and medicinal chemistry. His work demonstrated how complex molecules of natural origin can be transformed, through synthetic and semi-synthetic strategies, into effective therapeutic agents. By combining fundamental chemical research with biological evaluation and industrial development, Pierre Potier helped define a model of translational research that remains highly relevant today.

The Symposium aims to illustrate how these scientific principles continue to inspire new generations of chemists by guiding current research at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine, and by fostering innovation in drug discovery based on complex molecular architectures.

The program below will provide the opportunity to present 8 oral communications. The number of participants is expected to be between 150 and 200.

The official language of the symposium will be English.

ICSN

ICSN is reviving the tradition of high-profile international Symposia, designed as catalysts for new ideas by showcasing a new generation of outstanding researchers. By drawing on innovative approaches, the Symposium will contribute to the development of strong international collaborations. It will promote the sharing of knowledge, the dissemination of concepts, and interdisciplinary interactions.

This approach fully aligns with ICSN’s identity, which is rooted in scientific boldness and interdisciplinarity.
